OnChainToday Referral Program Terms

Effective date: October 31, 2026

These Referral Program Terms ("Program Terms") explain how you can earn rewards for referring buyers and sellers to OnChainToday. OnChainToday, together with its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, assigns and DBAs ("OCT", "we", "us" or "our"), runs the OnChainToday Referral Program (the "Program").

By joining the Program, sharing a referral link or code, or accepting any commission, you agree to these Program Terms. You also agree to the OnChainToday Terms of Service ("OCT Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which still apply. If these Program Terms and the OCT Terms conflict on anything about the Program, these Program Terms control.

If you do not agree, do not join the Program or share a referral link or code.

1. Definitions

  • Referrer means the person or entity that owns an OCT account with an active, issued referral link or code. If an AI agent shares the link or code, the account holder is the Referrer. "You" means the Referrer.
  • Referred Buyer means a person or entity that opens a Referrer's valid referral link and then creates a new OCT account that OCT credits to that Referrer under section 10.
  • Referred Seller means a person or entity, credited to a Referrer under section 10, that creates a new OCT account and then sells through OCT as a third-party seller.
  • Verified Agent means a Referrer whose account OCT has approved at the Verified Agent level. OCT grants, keeps or removes that level at its discretion.
  • Founding Pillar or Elite member means a member who holds an active Pillar or Elite Founding Membership in good standing.
  • Qualifying Purchase means a purchase by a Referred Buyer that is paid in full, confirmed, and not excluded by section 3. For Lease-to-Own, each installment that clears is its own Qualifying Purchase.
  • OCT Net Revenue means the US dollar amount that OCT actually receives and keeps for a Qualifying Purchase, after taking out all of the following: refunds, returns, chargebacks and reversals; discounts, coupons, promotions and credits (including Store Credit) applied to the order; sales, use, value added and similar taxes; blockchain network, gas, processor and payment fees; any certificate, setup or similar pass-through fees; and any amount OCT passes to or holds for a third-party seller. When OCT is not the seller, OCT Net Revenue is only the marketplace fee OCT actually receives and keeps on that sale. For payments in crypto or other digital assets, OCT uses the US dollar value it records when the payment is confirmed.
  • Commission means the reward you earn under section 4 for a Qualifying Purchase or a Referred Seller's completed sale.
  • Lock Date means the date a Commission becomes earned. It is 45 days after OCT confirms the order (or the Lease-to-Own installment), or 30 days for a Verified Agent with a clean history, as long as the order has not been refunded, reversed or flagged for review by then. A "clean history" means no fraud findings, no breach of these Program Terms and no unusual reversal rate on your account, as OCT decides in good faith.
  • Pending means a Commission before its Lock Date. Pending amounts are estimates. They are not earned and not owed.
  • Store Credit means OCT credit that you can use only to buy on OCT, as described in section 6.

2. Who can join

You can join the Program only if all of the following are true:

  1. You are at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  2. You have an OCT account in good standing.
  3. You are not an OCT employee, contractor or staff member, and you do not live in the same household as one. Staff accounts earn 0% Commission.
  4. You are not on any sanctions or restricted party list (including lists kept by the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control, the United Nations, the European Union or the United Kingdom), you are not owned or controlled by anyone on such a list, and you are not located in, organized in or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargo.
  5. No law, regulator or employer bars you from taking part or receiving rewards.

You must give accurate details and keep them current. OCT may approve, refuse or remove any Referrer to follow the law or protect the Program.

3. What counts and what does not

Counts. Only paid, confirmed Qualifying Purchases earn Commission. This includes domains, handles and other items sold on OCT, Founding Memberships, accepted Make Offer purchases once paid, and cleared Lease-to-Own installments.

Does not count.

  • Signups, clicks, visits or account creation. These earn $0.
  • Sales made with a takedown coupon.
  • Self-referrals. This includes any purchase by your own account, or by an account that shares your email, paying wallet, payout wallet, payment details or identity with you, or that you control.
  • Purchases by or for OCT staff, or by members of a staff household.
  • Barter deals and any non-cash consideration.
  • Gifts or contributions to GIV DAO.
  • Unpaid, unconfirmed, refunded, reversed or charged-back orders.
  • Purchases by an account that already existed before it opened your link, or that OCT already credits to another Referrer.
  • Orders paid by credit or debit card, until OCT posts on this page the date and terms on which card orders begin to earn Commission. That change applies only to card orders confirmed after it is posted.
  • Anything obtained through conduct barred by section 8.

4. Commission

Rates.

ReferrerRate on a Referred Buyer's Qualifying Purchases
Standard Referrer20% of OCT Net Revenue
Verified Agent, or Founding Pillar or Elite member25% of OCT Net Revenue
OCT staff0%

How long. You earn on a Referred Buyer's Qualifying Purchases for 12 months from the date that Referred Buyer creates their account. For a Lease-to-Own that starts within those 12 months, you earn on each installment of that lease as it clears.

Large orders. Your rate applies to the first $10,000 of OCT Net Revenue on an order. OCT Net Revenue above $10,000 on that order earns 10%. The most you can earn on any single order is $10,000.

Seller referrals. For a Referred Seller, you earn 20% of the marketplace fee OCT actually receives and keeps (currently 2.5% of the sale) on that seller's completed sales for 12 months from the date the Referred Seller creates their account.

One level only. You earn only on the buyers and sellers you refer directly. You earn nothing on people your Referred Buyers or Referred Sellers refer. There is no reward for recruiting Referrers.

One Commission per side. An order earns at most one buyer-side Commission and one seller-side Commission.

When a Commission is earned. A Commission is earned only on its Lock Date. Before then it is Pending. A Pending amount shown in Command Center is not a promise of payment.

Examples (Standard Referrer, before any limits in section 7):

ExampleOCT Net RevenueCommission
A $900 handle sold by OCT$900$180
The same $900 handle sold by a third-party seller, when only the seller side is referred$22.50 (the 2.5% fee)$4.50
A Lease-to-Own at $200 per month$200 per cleared installment$40 per cleared installment
A $51,000 domain sold by OCT$51,000$2,000 plus $4,100, total $6,100

These examples only show the math. They are not a promise that you will earn anything. When both the buyer and the seller on one order were referred, the combined Commissions on that order are capped by the program limits in section 7, so each side may earn less than these examples show.

5. Fast Start rewards and leaderboards

Founding 90. For the first 90 days after OCT opens the Program to the public, each rate in section 4 goes up by 5 percentage points (for example, 20% becomes 25%, and 25% becomes 30%). The 10% rate above $10,000, the $10,000 per order maximum and the limits in section 7 still apply. The boost applies to Qualifying Purchases and completed seller sales confirmed in that 90-day window.

First sale reward. Each Referrer can earn one $25 Store Credit reward for their first Qualifying Purchase with OCT Net Revenue of $500 or more. It is earned on that order's Lock Date.

Leaderboard prizes are not active yet. No prize pool is earned or owed for any month that ends before OCT posts on this page the date leaderboard prizes start. The leaderboard rules below apply only from that date.

Leaderboards. OCT runs two monthly leaderboards: one for Referrers whose referrals come through an AI agent ("Agents") and one for all other Referrers ("Humans"). OCT places each account on one board.

  • Ranking. Each board ranks Referrers by the OCT Net Revenue of their locked Qualifying Purchases confirmed in that calendar month. Clicks and signups do not count.
  • Prize pool. Each month's pool is the lesser of $1,500 or 10% of the total OCT Net Revenue from all locked Qualifying Purchases confirmed that month. The pool is split equally between the two boards. On each board, 1st place gets 50%, 2nd gets 30% and 3rd gets 20% of that board's share. If a board has fewer than 3 eligible Referrers, the unused share is not awarded.
  • Ties. If Referrers tie, OCT adds the prizes for the tied places and splits them equally among the tied Referrers.
  • Timing. Results are final after the month's orders reach their Lock Dates. Prizes are paid with the next monthly payout.
  • Rules. No purchase is needed to join the Program or a leaderboard. Prizes are based only on verified referral results. They are not a lottery, raffle, sweepstakes or game of chance. Prizes are paid the same way and under the same conditions as Commissions, including section 6 and section 7. Winners may need to confirm eligibility before payment. The prizes are void where prohibited or restricted by law.

6. Payouts

How you are paid. In Command Center you choose one of these:

  • USDC or USDT on the Solana network. You are paid the US dollar amount of your locked Commissions, at 1 stablecoin per 1 US dollar of Commission.
  • Store Credit at 120%. Each $1.00 of locked Commission becomes $1.20 of Store Credit.

Payouts are not open yet. Commissions still earn and lock under these Program Terms and build up in your balance, and nothing that has locked is lost while payouts are closed. OCT will post on this page, and show in Command Center, the date payouts open.

When. Once payouts open, OCT pays once a month, by the 15th, for Commissions that locked by the end of the prior month. The first payout covers your full locked balance as of that date. If the 15th is not a business day, payment may go out on the next business day.

Minimum. The minimum cash payout is $50. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month. Store Credit has no minimum.

Network fees. OCT pays the network fee for each cash payout.

Your wallet. You must give a Solana wallet address that you control and that is self-custodied (not an exchange deposit address unless that exchange supports it). You are responsible for giving the right address. Blockchain transfers cannot be undone. Once OCT sends a payout to the address you gave, the payout is complete and final, and OCT will not resend or reverse a correctly sent transfer.

Stablecoin risk. USDC and USDT are issued by third parties. OCT does not control them and does not promise their value, their peg to the US dollar, or their availability after a payout is sent.

Store Credit. Store Credit has no cash value. It cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged for cash or used anywhere except OCT. Store Credit does not expire, unless OCT states an expiry in advance where the law allows. Purchases you make with Store Credit do not earn you a Commission.

Missing details. If you have not given what OCT needs to pay you (a payout choice, a wallet address, a tax form or identity details), OCT holds your balance and pays it once you do, subject to the law on unclaimed property.

7. Program limits

To keep the Program sustainable, OCT may apply limits to the Program. These include:

  • a cap of $500 on the Commission for any single order OCT selects, including orders of OCT-owned inventory. OCT may review such an order and, at its choice, later release a higher Commission;
  • a per-order cap based on the economics of an order of OCT-owned inventory;
  • a cap on the combined Commissions paid on one order when both the buyer side and the seller side were referred;
  • manual review of any order or payout; and
  • overall limits on the total cost of the Program, including reducing or pausing prizes, boosts and first sale rewards.

OCT applies new or changed limits going forward only, to orders confirmed after the limit is posted on this page or in Command Center. OCT will never reduce or take back a Commission that has already reached its Lock Date because of a Program limit. Only a refund, chargeback, reversal or fraud finding under section 9 can do that.

8. Rules for promoting OCT

Disclose every time. You must clearly disclose that you earn a reward, right next to every referral link or code, in every format you use: posts, videos, livestreams, podcasts, emails, messages, chats and AI agent replies. Say it in words people will notice and understand before they click. Use plain lines like these:

  • "I earn a referral reward if you buy through my link."
  • For an AI agent: "I am an AI agent, and my account holder earns a referral reward if you buy through this link."

"#ad" alone is not enough. Do not hide the disclosure in a profile bio, behind a "more" link, or at the end of a long post.

You must not:

  1. Make any claim about earnings, income, profit, investment, returns, or rising prices or value, about OCT, the Program, or any domain, handle, membership or digital asset. For example, do not say an item "will go up in value", is "a good investment", or that anyone "can make money" from the Program.
  2. Claim or suggest that OCT, any listing or you are affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any person, brand or company named in a domain or handle.
  3. Use OCT's or anyone else's trademarks or brand names in paid ads, ad keywords, domain names, social handles or app names.
  4. Bid on "OnChainToday", "OCT", or any misspelling or variation of them, in paid search or social ads.
  5. Send spam, unsolicited emails, texts or direct messages, or make unsolicited calls. Do not use bought, rented or scraped lists.
  6. Use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden frames, bots, click farms, fake accounts, fake traffic, incentivized clicks or any other way to fake a referral.
  7. Refer yourself, or open or use more than one account to earn Commissions.
  8. Post codes or links on coupon, deal, cashback or rebate sites unless OCT approves it in writing first.
  9. Post fake reviews or testimonials, or describe experiences you did not have.
  10. Misstate how the Program, OCT, a listing, a price or a purchase works, or speak for OCT.

You are responsible for following all laws that apply to your promotions, including the FTC Act and the FTC Guides Concerning Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and anti-spam and privacy laws where your audience lives.

AI agents. An AI agent may share referral links or codes only as a tool of an OCT account holder. The account holder that owns the agent is the Referrer, is the only one who can be paid, and is fully responsible for everything the agent says and does, including its disclosures. The agent must follow these Program Terms, the OCT Terms, and our rate limits and access rules.

9. Refunds, chargebacks, fraud and clawbacks

If, within 180 days after an order, the order is refunded, returned, charged back or reversed, or OCT finds fraud or a breach of section 8 connected to it, the Commission for that order is reversed. This applies even after the Lock Date and even after payment.

OCT may recover a reversed Commission by taking it out of your future Commissions or Store Credit, or by asking you to repay it. If the Commission was paid as Store Credit, OCT first removes the Store Credit issued for it from your unused balance, then takes any remainder out of future Commissions. OCT will never ask you to repay in cash more than the US dollar amount of the reversed Commission. You agree to repay within 30 days of our request. For a payout made in stablecoin, you repay the US dollar amount.

OCT may hold a payout while it runs a reasonable investigation into possible fraud, abuse, a sanctions issue or a breach of these Program Terms. If the investigation clears you, OCT pays the held amount with the next monthly payout.

10. Tracking and attribution

  • When you share your link, OCT sets a first-party cookie that lasts 90 days. The link must be one OCT issued and tied to your account.
  • A referral is credited when the Referred Buyer or Referred Seller creates a new OCT account while a valid referral applies. Each new account is credited to one Referrer only.
  • If more than one valid referral link is used before the account is created, the first valid one used within its 90-day window wins. Credit comes only from a valid referral link or its cookie. OCT does not accept referral codes typed in at sign-up or anywhere else.
  • There is no limit on the number of legitimate referrals you can make.
  • OCT decides attribution in good faith based on its records, and those records control. If you think a referral was missed, tell us within 60 days of the order.
  • Our Privacy Policy explains the tracking data we collect, including the referral cookie and the referral click log.

11. Tax, identity and sanctions checks

  • Once payouts open (see section 6), USDC or USDT on Solana and Store Credit will both be available payout choices.
  • OCT releases a cash payout only after you have given OCT a completed IRS Form W-9 or the right Form W-8, and any identity details OCT reasonably asks for, and only after you and your payout wallet pass OCT's sanctions screening. OCT may ask for these details again and may screen again before any payout.
  • OCT may report payments to tax authorities as the law requires. You are responsible for your own taxes on all Commissions, prizes and Store Credit.
  • OCT screens Referrers and payout wallets against sanctions and restricted party lists. Until these checks pass, your cash balance is held, not lost, and you may choose Store Credit instead. OCT may refuse, hold or cancel a payout, or end your participation, if needed to follow the law.

12. Changes, suspension and ending the Program

  • Changes. OCT may change these Program Terms or the Program by posting the change on this page with a new effective date at least 30 days before it takes effect. Changes apply going forward only.
  • Immediate suspension. OCT may suspend or change the Program, or your participation, right away if needed for fraud, legal, regulatory or security reasons.
  • Ending your participation. You can leave the Program at any time. OCT can end your participation or the whole Program at any time.
  • If you breach these Program Terms or send spam, OCT may end your participation right away, and all unpaid Commissions, prizes and rewards, Pending or locked, are forfeited, along with any Store Credit earned from the Program, where the law allows.
  • If OCT ends your participation or the Program without cause, OCT still pays Commissions that have locked, and Commissions on purchases confirmed before the end date that later lock. OCT pays a final cash balance even if it is under $50, or pays it as Store Credit if you choose. If payouts are not yet open, OCT pays these amounts once they open.
  • Sections 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 survive the end of your participation.

13. Your relationship with OCT

You take part as an independent party. You are not an employee, agent, partner, joint venturer, franchisee or representative of OCT. You have no authority to make promises, sign contracts or act for OCT, and you must not say or suggest that you speak for OCT. You pay your own costs.

14. Not an investment or security

Commissions, prizes and Store Credit are payment for referral services only. They are not an investment, a share of OCT's profits, equity, a token, a security or any ownership interest. Taking part in the Program gives you no ownership, voting or governance rights in OCT or any related entity. You must not describe any OCT asset, domain, handle, membership, GIV DAO or Program reward as an investment or as something that will make money or rise in value.

15. Disclaimers, liability and indemnity

Disclaimer. THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OCT MAKES NO PROMISE THAT YOU WILL EARN ANY AMOUNT, THAT TRACKING WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE, OR THAT ANY BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK, WALLET OR STABLECOIN WILL WORK OR KEEP ITS VALUE, AND OCT DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Limit of liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OCT AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR DIGITAL ASSETS, ARISING FROM THE PROGRAM. OCT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THE PROGRAM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE COMMISSIONS OCT PAID YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.

Indemnity. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless OCT, its affiliates and their personnel from all claims, losses, fines, penalties and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your promotions, your content, your AI agent's conduct, your missing or unclear disclosures, your spam or calls, your use of trademarks, or your breach of these Program Terms or any law.

FTC note. Under FTC rules, the person promoting a product is responsible for clear disclosure and for not making false or unsupported claims. If you or your AI agent fail to disclose, or make an earnings or investment claim, you are responsible for it, and OCT may end your participation.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS ANY RIGHT YOU HAVE UNDER APPLICABLE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS.

16. Governing law and disputes

Law. These Program Terms and any dispute about the Program are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict of laws rules.

Talk first. Before starting a formal claim, you and OCT will try to resolve the dispute in good faith for 30 days after one side emails the other a written description of it. Send yours to Support@OnChainToday.com.

Arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved, it will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its rules that apply to the dispute, including its Consumer Arbitration Rules where they apply. The arbitration will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana, or by video or documents if both sides agree. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, or ask a court for an order to stop misuse of trademarks, data or the Program.

No class actions. You and OCT agree to bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action, and the arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person.

Opt out. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing Support@OnChainToday.com within 30 days after you first join the Program, with your name, account email and the words "Referral arbitration opt out." If you opt out, or if this arbitration section cannot be enforced, disputes will be decided only in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, and you and OCT agree to their jurisdiction.

17. General

  • These Program Terms, the OCT Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Program.
  • If any part of these Program Terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
  • OCT may assign these Program Terms. You may not assign them or transfer your account or Commissions.
  • If OCT does not enforce a term, it has not given up the right to enforce it later.
  • OCT may send you notices through Command Center or the email on your account.
